Explosive Ordnance Division is responsible for the acquisition and sustainment of guided and non-guided weapons and manages the introduction into service to through life support of all ordnance for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Update: New information is now available on the Domestic Munitions Manufacturing Arrangements (DMMA) Project. Munitions BranchThis branch is responsible for the cost-conscious acquisition and sustainment of non-guided explosive ordnance systems for the ADF. Guided Weapons Branch This branch of 300 plus military, civilian and contractor staff is responsible for acquiring and sustaining guided weapons for the Australian Defence Force. The branch also manages the Mulwala Redevelopment Project and the 155mm Remediation Program Guided Weapons Branch comprises two System Program Offices, stand-alone major capital equipment project teams and supporting Directorates. Uniquely from a DMO perspective, the branch undertakes in-house maintenance activities at its facilities in HMAS Stirling, HMAS Waterhen and Defence Establishment Orchard Hills. Office of Head of Explosive Ordnance This office provides executive support to Head Explosive Ordnance. The team is responsible for the overarching governance and enabling services that support the two Branches. It conducts activities and provides services in Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, Maintenance and Logistics. The Executive team is also responsible for ad-hoc services that are common to both Branches such as marketing for events and communication services. |
