| The Electronic and Weapon Systems Division manages the acquisition and sustainment of electronic and guided weapons systems for the Australian Defence Force. The division manages command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, radar, electronic warfare guided weapons and explosive ordnance and related systems. It also takes the lead in the integration of electronic systems consistent with Defence’s network centre warfare requirements. Command and Support Systems BranchThis branch manages the acquisition and sustainment support of command and control, intelligence and imagery systems. Communication Systems BranchThis branch supports the sustainment of communication systems. Electronic Systems Integration BranchThis branch manages the acquisition and sustainment support for a variety of military equipment, implementation and coordination through network centric requirements, coordination of the implementation of the Defence Electronic Systems Sector Strategic Plan and the monitoring and enforcement of conformance with the Defence Tactical Information Exchange policy and standards. The branch also sets and maintains divisional engineering and quality assurance standards and processes. Electronic Warfare BranchThis branch manages the acquisition and sustainment support of electronic warfare systems. Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance BranchThis branch manages the acquisition and sustainment support of all guided weapons and explosive ordnance. Surveillance and Control BranchThis branch manages the acquisition and sustainment support of wide area surveillance (over-the-horizon-radar) ground-based elements of air defence systems and air traffic control systems. Directorate Materiel Operations and Planning This directorate manages division operations, planning, business and corporate support, coordination of materiel operations and logistics guidance. |
