The Pacific Area Cataloguing System (PACS) is a highly disciplined and standardised system for materiel classification and identification based on the NATO Codification System (NCS).

inventory proliferation

inventory duplication

logistics response times

identify substitute items

PACS provides the basis for a common supply language which is essential for multi-national cooperative logistics endeavours within PASOLS.
