Our Structure

DIO is one of four agencies that make up the Intelligence and Security Group in the Australian Government Department of Defence.

Intelligence and Security Group is headed by a Deputy Secretary who reports to the Secretary of Defence and Chief of the Defence Force.

The other agencies that make up the group are:

• Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation
• Defence Security Authority
• Defence Signals Directorate
