HOW TO APPLY

Selection for all vacancies within the Defence Intelligence Organisation is based on merit. This means that an assessment is made of the relative suitability of applicants using a competitive selection process.

As an applicant you must demonstrate that you are able to satisfy the requirements of the advertised position.

Please note that DIO does not accept unsolicited applications or resumes. Your application must be in response to a specific vacancy advertisement.

To be eligible for engagement to the Australian Public Service, applicants must meet certain general criteria.

We recommend that applicants read the advice on how to address selection criteria before completing and submitting their application.

When applying for a position you will need to provide:

  • a current resume outlining qualifications and employment history;
  • a statement of claims against each selection criterion; and
  • a completed Personal Particulars of Applicant form (Form AA312), including the names and contact details of referees who can provide comments on your work performance against the selection criteria.

The Personal Particulars of Applicant Form must be completed in full and returned with your application.
