Geospatial Analysis
Geospatial information is a combination of the precise location and associated attributes of natural and man-made features. This combination conveys the "what" and "where" of a feature or object on the Earth's surface and is the foundation upon which a wide range of information can be integrated and displayed. Defence information systems are increasingly being used to manage, manipulate, integrate, query and display digital geospatial data in support of the decision making process. These systems include navigation systems, command support systems, surveillance systems, weapons platforms, mission planning systems, war games, simulators, and facilities/range management systems.
