Following the September 11 terrorist attacks, the US called on the Taliban regime in Afghanistan to hand over Osama bin Laden to answer for these crimes. When this was refused, a US-led Coalition overthrew the Taliban, freeing the Afghan people from their oppression and paving the way for a new constitution in Afghanistan....

Government response to Military Justice Inquiry

Defence focused on implementation of reforms
The Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, has welcomed the Government's response to the Senate Committee's report into the Australian Military Justice System, saying that he is totally committed to driving the implementation of the reforms over the next two years.
