Moving on: Commander Australia Navy Hydrographic Meteorology Group and Hydrographer of Australia Captain Bruce Kafer, bid farewell to his command at a morning tea, put on by the staff of the Australian Hydrographic Office. The change of command occurred on December 22. Captain Rod Nairn, took over as the new Hydrographic Meteorology Force Element Group Commander and Hydrographer of Australia.

Commended: Peter Russo of the Directorate of Ordnance Safety was recently presented with a CJLOG Commendation by Major General Peter Haddad for work on the Defence Explosive Ordnance Publication 103.
