COMMUNITY GROUPS AND CENTRES
Dowsing Point Community Centre
The Centre is run by a volunteer management committee consisting of Defence spouses and members of the local community, who meet monthly to oversee the running of the centre. Some of the services offered are regular craft workshops and playgroups, classes, school holiday activities, adult painting classes, and Welcome to Tasmania events. Annual membership is $1.00 per family. You will receive the monthly newsletter and discount fees for classes as well as child care.
Where: Dowsing Point Community Centre, at entrance of Derwent Barracks, Glenorchy (approximately 10 km from the centre of Hobart)
When: Monday to Wednesday, 10 am–2 pm during school terms
