Graduates in CIOG

Transcipt - Max Rancarz

Initially, I applied for the Australian Government Information Management Office Cadetship program as it provided the opportunity to develop my skills while progressing my career, giving me a head start on university graduates. The ability to study fulltime, whilst working part time in a Government Department meant that I could develop my workplace skills and still finish my degree.

The offer of fulltime work at the end of the cadetship was also very encouraging.

The best part of the cadetship program was chance to work with some of the latest technologies. The program also allowed me to create a network of friends and colleges. The transition from studying to working was not difficult as some of the skills learnt in my studies were able to be transitioned to the workplace.

I highly recommend the cadetship program. It is a great opportunity as you have the flexibility of working part time and having a fulltime job during semester breaks. You also get to meet some great people and develop skills that will help your career.
