AN eleven-man team has been in the Middle East Area of Operations during November and December 2008 ensuring the ADF is adhering to the required standards of maintenance for all of its equipment. The Maintenance Advisory Service team in the Middle East has been checking everything from small arms to Bushmasters, making sure that each piece of equipment complies with the Technical Regulatory Framework (TRF). According to the team leader, Captain Matthew Scott, all Defence members should be aware of the TRF, especially considering that most maintenance is done by the operators themselves. A universal example of the TRF common to all service members is to ensure the fully functional sticker on the stock of their Steyr rifle is up to date. |
