Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel

The purpose of the Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel is to procure a broad range of services to support the acquisition and sustainment of Defence’s (Air, Joint Systems, Land and Maritime) capital equipment and systems projects. These services are required by Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), other Defence Groups and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).  Other Australian Government agencies may also access these services.

The DSS Panel will replace the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment – Support Services (CAS-SS) Panel, which is  due to expire in April 2018. The CAS-SS Panel has provided Defence with efficient and streamlined access to a broad range of professional service providers, particularly Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Defence expects this to continue through the establishment of the DSS Panel.

The DSS Panel will be established under a common Deed of Standing Offer (Deed) entered into between the Commonwealth and each of the successful tenderers (Service Providers). The Deed will set out the terms on which the Commonwealth will seek services from Service Providers and Service Providers will provide services to the Commonwealth.

The DSS Panel is expected to be in operation by 23 April 2018.
