Nick Farley, who works for Personnel—Air Force was selected to compete in the World Transplant Games in Canada, a week-long Games that will see more than 2,000 athletes from 55 countries compete. Nick underwent a kidney transplant in 1995.

Shannon Lawler and his father John enjoy a flight over the Point Cook area in a Black Hawk helicopter. The flight was arranged after ADF personnel assigned to the Commonwealth Games learnt of Shannon's terminal cancer. Defence extends its condolences to the Lawler family on the sad news of Shannon's death. We salute a very brave boy.
