The RMC Rock Band is a group which continues to amaze audiences with its energy and style quite removed from anything usually heard from the Band of the Royal Military College Duntroon.

The Rock Band was formed during the 1990s as a result of performances at schools within the Canberra region. Following these shows the Rock Band formed the nucleus of deployments to Bougainville, East Timor and the Solomon Islands undertaken by the RMC Band between 1998 and 2003. The music and message the Band was able to deliver to indigenous people and deployed troops contributed in aiding the peace process in these regions.

The Band will be entertaining more school students in the future and is currently developing a new show to take to deployed troops.

More recently the Band has been involved in official engagements for the Australian Federal Police, Graduation Balls for the Cadets of the Royal Military College and Australian Defence Staff College and numerous functions where the Band provides dance music for charitable events.
