Pastoral

The Royal Military College has a full complement of Padres (Chaplains) from the three arms of the Australian Army Chaplaincy - Anglican, Catholic and Protestant.
Each Padre is given responsibility for a cadet class (III, II or I Class) and they follow those cadets from their Initial Cadet Training (ICT) in III Class through to Graduation in I Class.
Although each class has a nominated Padre, cadets and their families can access any of the Padres for advice and support, marriage preparation or counselling and pastoral care at any time. One of the Padres is always on call for after hours assistance.
ANZAC MEMORIAL CHAPEL - The Governor General, Lord Casey opened the ANZAC Memorial Chapel on 30 April 1966. The funding for the Chapel was gained through a public appeal, church donations and government resources.
The Chapel contains two sections - a Roman Catholic Chapel and an Anglican/Protestant Denominations Chapel. It is situated on Robert Campbell Road, Duntroon. Each Padre conducts services regularly on weekends and by appointment. The Chapel can also be booked for special occasions such as weddings and baptisms or naming ceremonies.
BEYOND THE CHAPEL - The Padres are involved in all aspects of College life. They provide advice and support to all cadets, staff and their families. Padres have an extensive history within the Australian Army that focuses on the pastoral care and confidential assistance to all Service members and their families. The Padres at RMC continue this proud tradition.
If a Padre is required after hours or for an emergency, the RMC Duty Officer is able to page the On-Call Padre, who is available 24 hours if required.
CHANGI CHAPEL - The Changi Chapel is under the care of the National Capital Authority. The Chapel was reconstructed from its original site in the Changi Prisoner of War Camp, Singapore. It is nestled in parkland close to the ANZAC memorial Chapel. Both venues offer opportunities for quiet prayer and reflection.
