This page has been created to aid 3rd Brigade Units with the Preparations for Rear Details and to provide info to families of the Brigade on that which we aim to achieve excellence. It largely comprises info available on the www about the experiences of other armies (mainly US) in managing the important job of looking after our families in while soldiers are deployed.

This is a Centre for Army lessons Learned website from the US Army and has some excellent material. I was particularly interested in the 'crystal ball' theory of dealing with casualties and it is strongly in support of our efforts t handle this aspect faultlessly. Some god points for both units preparing for the conduct of rear details and for families to prepare for the departure and retun of loved ones from operations.

This handbook represents the caring work of spouses of students of the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) Class of 2005 and was recently updated by the USAWC student spouses of the Class of 2007.
It is designed to help Families learn about the military and better understand the Soldier's mission. The Soldier, the spouse, and the Family work together as a team. This guidebook provides a well researched, well written, and well organized view to move that team forward.
