This page identifies the planning being done for special activities open to our families and, when ideitnfied, to the public.

Barracks Open Day

On 20 July we will have a big Open Day at Lavarack for Defence Families. We are combining a number of activities:

• Launch of the Supporters Board at Geckos
• Displays of Defence Capability for family members (esp. kids)
• 'End of an Era' Parade for all members of the Iraq operations:
  • AMTG
  • OBG(W)
  • AATTI

The day will begin at 1400 and end by 1600. There will be dispalys around the grounds of Geckos of Army capability (and some RAAF dogs too!). We also intend to have all the strong supporters of our families and deployed soldeirs put up displays to show what they can do to support us all. You might be surprised by how much support is around, and its worth knowing now, not waiting for the crisis to occur.
