  • The band recently performed at Ryan Catholic College for their annual event 'Ryan Day'. According to all reports the kids were very impressed, as always, and the concert was a huge hit!!
  • The Australian Festival of Chamber Music was in Townsville performing a series of concerts, and the 1 RAR Band couldn't resisit helping out our fellow musicians, so we supported the final concert of the series with an outdoor gig at the Civic Theatre. It was great to showcase the bands talents to an appreciative audience of music lovers, and we hope that everyone enjoyed the entertainment that the band provided.
  • In Palm Cove on Saturday the 19th July the band helped to raise money in a charity fundraiser for abused children. The weekend was a huge success, with many generous people helping to raise over $4000. The 1 RAR Band is proud to be involved every year in such a great cause by providing a variety concert in the afternoon, and we hope that we can be involved for many years to come.

RE NORTH QUEENSLAND SUNCORP GAMES. PERFORMANCE 1RAR BAND

RE Major Andrew Ryder and Miss Angie.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Major Andrew Ryder and his wonderful band for the support and guidance during the sound checks and the lead up to my performing the National Anthem at the above ceremony.
I wanted to especially commend Angie who showed that she believed in me and knew that I could accomplish what I set out to do.

It was an amazing opportunity to perform with such a professional band and I will always cherish that special time.

I am only young and have a lot to learn but what I do know is that young people who are supported can achieve a wonderful outcome and you gave me this opportunity.

Thankyou once again for making a difference in all of our lives, and I do know that with your wonderful people at the helm, our country is in very safe hands.

Kind regards
Brittany-Elise Johansen 13
