TASTE OF DEPLOYMENT 2008

The TASTE OF DEPLOYMENT is back for 2008! Make it a date to participate in this opportunity that only runs for one hour, once a month, for 6 months. From 1200 to 1300 on the last Tuesday of each month our Catering Corps staff show us how to make dishes from the various places where our troops are deployed. Last year the food was exceptionally good - tasty, fragrant and do-able - if APR was any indication this year will even surpass the last.

Come on in and have a cuppa anytime from 0900h to 1500h Mon - Fri. Why not ask your partner to join you for lunch here? You can sit under the trees eating your sandwich while you catch up on the day - let the kids play on the swings too. It is just like being in parklands. There is room to move, something to do and someone to talk with at GECKOS. Everyone is welcome to come along and participate in any of our activities, or just sit and relax.

GECKOS conducts raffles as an important part of our fund raising.100% of all monies raised goes into purchasing items for the activities at GECKOS.

Rising Sun Honda have donated a VT750c7 Honda Shadow motor cycle. Black and chrome - it is very impressive. Tickets are $5 for one or $10 for three. Tickets are now available through GECKOS and Unit Welfare Officers.

There are limited tickets to be drawn 07DEC08 or earlier when all tickets are sold.

GECKOS Supporters Board will be 'unveiled' at our official opening on Sun 20 JUL08. We have had some very generous donoations (both financial and in-kind) and want to acknowledge these.

Donations will be identified as being Bronze, Silver, Gold or Kevlar standard.
