When: Monday, Thursday and Friday 0930 to 1130hrs
Where: GECKOS, Lavarack Barracks
Who: Defence families/ guardians with children aged under 5 years

Welcome to CamKids Playgroup. Here at CamKids we strive to create a comfortable, fun and supportive playgroup for the whole family. Camkids is a smokefree zone.

This information will help introduce you to exactly how CamKids Playgroup works so that you can make the most of your experiences with us.

REGISTRATION
CamKids Playgroup is registered with Playgroup Queensland. Each family is required to pay a registration fee of $28 if they wish to join the playgroup. This is to be paid within a fortnight of attending your first session. Payments are to be made by money order, credit card, cash or cheque and are to be handed to the contact person. This fee is paid to Playgroup Queensland to cover affiliation, insurances, admin etc. If you are already a registered member of Playgroup Queensland then please see your contact person.

FEES
There is a session fee of $1 per family that is to be paid at each session. This is to go towards special events, craft and new toys, etc.

SIGNING IN
Upon arrival to GECKOS it is vital that you sign both the attendance record at the front door and the playgroup attendance sheets found in the white folder (on signing this last sheet please place your $1 in the tin provided). This is mandatory.

IMMUNISATIONS
It is important that all children are up to date with all their immunisations. If your child is not fully immunised please see your contact person.

MORNING TEA
Pleaae bring piece of fruit per child to share for morning tea. There are allocated eating areas within GECKOS which will be shown to you. It is a non negotiatble to eat outside these areas.

ALLERGIES
If your child has any allergies please let the coordinator or your contact person know ASAP so that we can provide an allergy free zone for your child.

BEHAVIOUR and SUPERVISION
All parents are to be responsible for the behaviour and supervision of their child/ren while in GECKOS. Although responsible for the conduct of your own children we are still a support network of parents and require that all children are watched over with in the centre.

TIDYING UP and CLEANING
It is a requirement of CamKids Playgroup to assist in the cleaning and tidying of both the toys and GECKOS at the end of each session. This only takes 5 minutes if we all pitch in.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Sometimes we like to take photos of the children during their time at GECKOS. If you wish your child not to be photographed then please see the coordinator.

IDEAS and SUGGESTIONS
We are always keen to hear from our parents in regards to any ideas or suggestions that they may have for craft or playgroup in general. Feel free to approach the coordinator or another contact person with these ideas or if you would prefer there is a pink book in the folder specifically for this.

These guidelines are in place to ensure that everybody gets the most out of this playgroup. If you have any queries please feel free to speak with the coordinator or contact person.
