Introduction
With the reforms of the Messing arrangements on Lavarack Barracks comes the formation of a Soldiers' Tavern to be run by soldiers for the benefit of soldiers. The same staffing arrangement as has been in place for a long tmie for officers and SGTs will be given to the Soldiers' Tavern. In other words, soldiers will no longer have the staff wages of Frontline built into the cost of their beer!
The first tavern to stand up will be Bloody Georges and if it is successful the aim is to open at least one other tavern on Lavarack under the same arrangements.
RSM 3 Bde will coordinate the establishment of the Soldiers Club Committee through the RSM's Mess Advisory Group. Watch out on this site for the details of Bloody Georges Soldiers' Tavern
Opening Times
The Committee has done some good work to establish how it wants to spend the labour hours most effectively to meet the greatest demand by the majority of the soldiers and stay within the budget allocated by COMD 3 Bde.
