35 Fd Sqn is a Army Reserve unit that has soldiers serving in: Mt Isa, Rockhampton and Townsville. The Squadron Headquarters is located in Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. Members of 35 Fd Sqn serve in all facets of engineer work from clearing landmines and booby traps, destroying targets using explosives, constructing bridges, supplying drinkable water, operating water craft, conducting search operations for explosive devices and operating heavy earth-moving equipment. Most skills learnt are recognised in the civilian workplace.

35 Fd Sqn is to recruit, train, qualify and retain unit personnel to provide Combat Engineer Support capabilities to HQ 11 Bde taskings.
