Welcome to the world of the Naval Police Coxswains. Our category core skills involve all facets of that training and have billets in all Shore Establishments as well as all Major Fleet Units and Minor War Vessels.

Demonstrate your aptitude and attitude to upholding the Navy Core Values during your minimum four week appraisal/assessment period in a working Naval Police Coxswains environment and you could be on your way to becoming a 'Stalwart of Navy Values'.

Pre-Requisites

Your pre-requisites for Transfer are:

a. Be a Leading Seaman with previous Sea Posting (Mandatory). Or an Able seaman who has had a previous Sea Posting, with a minimum of two years seniority in rank and have the promotional prerequisites for Leading Seaman (ie selected for Leading Seaman Leadership Course);

b. hold a curent (vehicle) driving licence;

c. hold a Helmsman Certificate (Proficiency No: 103185);

d. have an above average grading in all criteria of the two most recent Sailors' Performance Appraisal Reports;

e. to be medically fit; and

f. possess sound oral and written communication skills.

If you meet these criteria and feel that the Naval Police Coxswain role is your new career path, make an appointment to talk with your Divisional Officer, raise a Transfer of Category PE 345 and submit your request.
