Section Leader Course

The Section Leader Course is of five weeks duration and trains Able Seamen and Musicians/Lance Corporals in the musical requirements of the rank of Leading Seaman/Corporal.

Group Leader Course

The Group Leader Course is of twelve weeks duration and trains Leading Seamen and Corporals in the music requirements of the rank of Petty Officer/Sergeant.

4.4 Arrange for a Small Ensemble (8-12 piece) with a Vocalist Accompaniment

5.0 Perform as a Drum Major

5.1 Display Knowledge of Ceremonial Procedures, Service Traditions and Protocol

Assistant Band Leader Course

The Assistant Band Leader Course is of eight weeks duration and trains Petty Officers and Sergeants/Staff Sergeants//Warrant Officers Class Two in the music and management requirements of the rank of Chief Petty Officer/Warrant Officer.
