GRADED OFFICER PAY (GOPS) SCALE
Overview
The approval of the Remuneration Review Project (RRP) by the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal (DFRT) has substantially changed how Army remunerates its Officers. The Officers pay structure had not been reviewed since the Dedman review of 1947 which introduced the common pay scale. RRP has seen the development and introduction of the GOPS which now pays Officers according to their work value.
Army Personnnel Agencies are responsible for ensuring the data listed is accurately recorded on PMKeyS:
- Sub-Unit Command proficiencies - CM
- Ensuring that all AR Officers it manages are remunerated IAW their data as recorded on PMKeyS - Project Officer
- Providing management advice to the delegate - Project Officer
- Providing advice to AR Officers - CM
- Representing individual AR cases to DEFPAY - Project Officer
- ARA Transfer to the Army Reserve and ASWOC - recognised competencies and commands - CM
Where are you placed upon the GOPS continuum?
An overview of the GOPS Triggers for progression for pay is provided in the powerpoint presentation provided below.
For more information regarding GOPS, RCC/RPL processes, management principles please following the link to the DRCM-A website.
