History
In 1992, Army Personnel Agencies where raised and controlled by the Director General Manning.
In 1994 the Director General Manning had a title change and became the Director General Personnel Management - Army.
On 1 July 1998, Army Personnel Agencies changed commands and came under the control of the Defence Executive Program and were placed under the Director General Career Management - Army (DGCM-A). On 1 July 2000, DGCM-A became the Director General Personnel - Army (DGPERS-A) and reverted back under command of Army Headquarters (AHQ).
In January 2006, Career Management - Army was raised to incorporate officer (DOCM), soldier(SCMA) and eight regional Army Reserve (APA's) career management agencies.
Army Personnel Agencies are responsible to DGPERS-A for the implementation of manning policy and personnel management procedures affecting all Army Reserve Private soldiers to Warrant Officer Class One and Officers up to and including Majors.

FOURTH EDITION ASOD RELEASED

The fourth edition of ASODs Volume 1
and Volume 2
have been released electronically. Personnel are to comply with ASODs with effect immediately; however, personnel can continue to wear their old Army nameplate until procurement of the new Army nameplate has commenced . Personnel with 10 or more medals may continue to wear them court-mounted at 16cm until contractors have been informed of the changes to ASODs. POC is RSM Ceremonial - Army on 02 6265 4091.
The Active Standby Staff Group (ASSG)
The ASSG actively seeks to recruit officers and NCOs transferring from the ARA to the Active Reserves or from the Standby Reserve. For more information on jobs/projects available click on the ASSG link below.
Army National Standby Reserve Agency
The Standby Reserve Co-ordination cell has been renamed the "Army National Standby Reserve Agency".
Being a member of the Army Standby Reserve, it is requirement for you to report annually to Army National Standby Reserve Agency or your region APA to confirm or update your personal details.
