Unimog Truck carrying generator load

The Unimog truck is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 5.675 litre six-cylinder, (direct injected with exhaust-gas) turbocharged diesel engine. It has an eight-speed manual transmission and rear and front axle drives enabling 4x4.

The cab allows for driver and up to two passengers. The left hand side of the cab contains a porthole in the roof which enables the passenger to provide 5.56mm LSW security for the vehicle.

The cargo body is fitted with side-hinged and rear-hinged panels with fold-up bench seats along the left and right-hand sides. The body is usually fitted with a bow and canopy assembly to provide shelter for stores and personnel.

The Unimog can be fitted with a Werner & Co F64MISW05 winch and is primarily used for forward distribution of stores on the battlefield as well as troop movements.
