Life Governors now 227 as at 9 September 2005.

Becoming a Life Governor. Life Governors are enrolled supporters who have contributed $500.00. Life Governorship may be realised by:

One-off donation of $500.00, or
series of contributions totalling $500 in a period of five years, or
periodic fortnightly allotments (defence personnel only) over five years using either the ADCU (Australian Defence Credit Union) of DEFCREDIT.

The minimum amount accepted for Australian Taxation Offices purposes is $2.00, but as the $500.00 must be finalised within five years, this equates to minimum of $4.00 per pay. Your contribution is accepted as a charitable donation and is tax deductible.

Fortnightly allotments are welcomed. Serving members are welcomed, and encouraged, to arrange personal allotments to either the Australian Defence Credit Union (ADCU) or Defence Credit Union (DEFCREDIT). It is then a simple matter of authorising an electronic transfer from your credit union account to the Foundation's account. There is no transfer fee. Dowload and complete the form, then take it to your nearest credit union to arrange the appropriate funds transfer from your account to the RAR Foundation Account. The Foudation will send you receipts annually until finalised and advise when your donation has reached $500.00. You will also receive a Life Governor Certificate. Should you commence an electronic transfer and then separate from the ADF, in which case your allotment to the credit union ceases, your transfer also ceases. There is no legal obligation to finalise the $500.00. It is your choice.
