The RAR Foundation
In excess of 60,00 officers and soldiers have been, or are, members of the Royal Australian Regiment since the regiment's inception in 1948. Thousands of members of the Regiment were wounded and 651 paid with their lives the ultimate price for service to their country.
The Royal Australian Regiment Foundation (RARF) was established in 1992 as a charitable organization in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Securities Commission. The principal objects for which the Foundation is established are both patriotic and charitable. Contributions to the Foundation, as a public fund, will be used to assist in the comfort, recreation and welfare of members of the Regiment and to provide assistance to the needy dependants of those members.
