Who Can Help?

DFSM encourages learning. The pre-conditions for successful learning are a safe, equitable, appropriately resourced and harmonious environment, in which individual differences are accepted and the right of the individual to contribute is acknowledged. Making sure that your physical, spiritual, psychological and life skills are met is my responsibility. I will not step back from my obligations. - CO DFSM

Welfare Support Services

The Defence Force School of Music (DFSM) places a very high priority on supporting all of its members, which includes Initial Entry Trainees, students undergoing advanced courses, members of staff and their families whilst posted or undergoing training at this unit. This welfare brief has been prepared to provide information that may be of assistance to all DFSM members and their families whilst serving at Simpson Barracks.

There are a wide range of support services available to all members and their families at DFSM. You can access these services through your Chain of Command. While it is acknowledged that you can self refer to many of these support services, you are encouraged to advise the Unit Welfare Officer.
