SUMMARIES
This section of the site includes overviews of the various battles in
which the Australian Army has been involved in its more than 100 year
history. The information is provided as a service to those looking for
a brief outline of events: it is not intended to be the definitive analysis
of these battles. As the material has been drawn from secondary sources,
experienced historians will find little here that is new. As resources
permit, Army will develop this collection with more academically rigorous
analyses based on comprehensive, professional historical methodology using
primary material.
