Delta Company is a special conditions Rifle Company based at Blacktown Depot.
In
1997 Delta Company was added to the Battalion from 6 Brigade following
the reorganisation of the Army's Ready Reserve Scheme. Originally
the Company was based at Dundas, just North of Parramatta.
In 2000, in anticipation of the cessation of the Ready Reserve conditions of service for the soldiers of Delta Company, the company was re-designated a General Reserve rifle company, offering special conditions of service, and was moved to Blacktown.
The company currently remains as a Special Conditions Company at Blacktown for those members of the Unit who cannot parade regularly but may be available for annual camps and/or to meet specialist training requirements.
