The Commanding Officer of 23 Field Regiment is Lieutenant Colonel Paul Landford.
LTCOL Landford has a long and distinguished history in the Army and has been instrumental in revolutionising the way our Regiment does business.

His key focus point are:
1) Operational Preparedness - both in our Corps role as Gunners and as deployable teams and individuals.

2) Individual Readiness - Physically and mentally prepared to support ADF operations anywhere and any time.

3) Physical Fitness - Every soldier is fit, focussed and comitted to self improvement.

4) Dependable - The Regiment can and will always be able to support operations or activities when and where required above and beyond expectations.

The Regimental Sergeant Major of 23 Field Regiment is Warrant Officer Class One Craig Clifford.
WO1 Clifford is a long serving and distinguished Gunner whose primary focus and experience is Gunnery in all aspects. His previous experience includes both Medium and Light Gun Regiments and Instructional Appointments.

The RSM is focussed on making 23 Field Regiment the masters of Gunnery in the 2nd Division

The Regiment's Second in Command is Major Peter Thuaux.
Major Thuaux has a long standing history with 23 Field Regiment, having served previously as a Battery Commander of 11 Battery in Sutherland. Major Thuaux is also the President of the Officer's and Sergeant's Mess Committee and works hard to ensure the Regiment has an active and attractive social calander.

The 2IC strives to make 23 Field Regiment the home of Gunners in Sydney.

The Operations Officer is Major Arlen Wendt. His primary responisibility is to ensure that the Regiment run ssmoothly and that we have every opportunity to trainin in a realsitic and operationally focussed environment.

Essentially it is his job to make sure everything happens on a day to day basis. Major Wendt is a highly capable Offier who recently was awarded the Bronze Star by the United States for his work while deployed on Operations.

The Adjutant is Captain John Ronayne. The job of the Adjutant is as Staff Officer to the Commanding Officer and is also responsible to ensure the Officers of the Regiment are trained and administered.

Part of his role is also to facilitate training opportunities and manage safety and risk mitigation. Captain Ronayne has a diverse background in nearly all aspects of Gunnery and is determined to increase the operational readiness and deployabilty of the Regiment.
