Jessica Johnson - Bowral Woman at ANZAC Cove
This year, ANZAC Day is pretty special for Bowral's Jessica Johnson. Now a Leading Aircraftwoman in the Royal Australian Air Force, Jessica is part of the official contingent at ANZAC Cove.
"After Bowral High School I joined the Air Force in 2004," said Jessica. "Now I've been promoted to Leading Aircraftman and I'm a member of the Australian Federation Guard. You have to volunteer to be in the Guard, and then there's a one in ten chance of being chosen to go to ANZAC Cove, so I was lucky to get here.
"The variety of life with the Federation Guard is pretty good but to be at ANZAC Cove on ANZAC Day is something else.
"After this experience I'm looking forward to getting ready for the ski season and the Guard's annual ski week!"(Date uploaded: 23 April 2007 - 01 image)
