Nominating for a course
- Navy personnel wishing to nominate for Operations courses are to contact TA-MW Course Co-ordination Cell on 02 9337 0213.
- Navy personnel wishing to nominate for all Joint Logistics, Health, Movements and Communications Planning Courses should contact TA-LOG Course Co-ordination Cell on 03 5931 5238.
- Civilians and overseas applicants must fill out an Application for Joint Warfare Courses (AC138) available on
webforms and return it to ADFWC by fax to (02) 4034 6530 the form can be found here: AC 138.
- Army personnel wishing to attend a course should have their Orderly Room nominate via PMKeyS Business Applications.
- RAAF personnel wishing to attend a course should click RAAF Course Nomination Form which can be found here: RAAF Nomination Form.

Priorty for Panelling
Priority for paneling is determined by the respective Service paneling authorities, not by ADFWC. Priority is normally be given to students posted to, or about to be posted to,
a Joint billet, operational headquarters, and those due for rotation to an operational deployment but exceptions can be made if circumstances dictate.
All queries from ADF service personnel about enrollment success or non-success of paneling on courses are to be made to the respective Service paneling authority, not ADFWC.
Queries from civilian and overseas applicants should be directed to the Training Support Manager on (02) 403 46098 or (02) 403 46585 (+61 2 403 …. for o/s applicants).
Waiver of course pre-requisites
Students who do not hold mandatory pre-requisites (security clearance, rank or prior training) will only be considered for nomination in exceptional circumstances.
The Service paneling authorities are responsible for ensuring that these pre-requisites are met, or waived, before applicants are enrolled.
It is therefore these authorities that will initiate a request for waiver if it is deemed appropriate.
Applicants may accordingly
be directed by the panelling authority to submit a request for waiver of course pre-requisites to ADFWC.
The request is to be sent to Course Waivers , info Service paneling authority, containing at least the following:
- the personal details of the applicant (including PMKEYs number name and rank, and Service);
- the course name and session for which the waiver(s) is requested;
- details of the training or pre-requisites that cannot be met;
- justification for the request; and
- unit commander's (O5 minimum) concurrence with the justification details, and recommendation.

Individuals are NOT to raise requests for waivers without being directed by their panelling authority to do so. Similarly,
the Course waiver email address above is the only POC for waivers - individual email addresses or telephone calls to ADFWC are not to be used.
On receipt of a request for waiver the Waiver Review Panel will examine the justifications offered and make a decision.
The decision will be passed to the Service panelling authority, for information to the applicant, and the panelling authority will continue the nomination process.
It must be stressed that granting of a waiver, like successful nomination, also does not guarantee enrolment
