29 July 2009 Senator Michaelia Cash, Senator for Western Australia and Mr Brett Raguse MP, Member for Forde, Queensland took part in the ADF Parliamentary Program to learn more about the Australian Defence Forces' contribution to Border Protection. As part of the program they visited the Joint Defence Facility on Thursday Island and also met with Customs and Border Protection staff on the island. The politicians also took part in an over night visit to HMAS Childers and Australian Customs Vessel Botany Bay. |
