Introduction
The aim of the Career Transition Assistance
Scheme (CTAS) is to provide members of the ADF with
assistance that will facilitate their transition to
civilian employment on separation. The scheme does
not provide members with specific employment on discharge;
rather, it provides them with tools designed to assist
them to better market their skills and experience
in the civilian marketplace.
The CTAS is a series of benefits that
are provided to assist the member to transfer to civilian
employment. It is the responsibility of the member
to ascertain their needs and to apply for the benefits.
The Resettlement Officer (RO) will be responsible
for the assessment of a member's eligibility and the
appropriateness of the application.
The CTAS provides a variety of benefits to members
according to their length of service. A guide to benefits
is detailed below. Note that all amounts listed are
not inclusive of GST. GST is a refundable extra cost.
Application
Download the CTAS application form AD145.
