Compassionate Leave Travel

Compassionate Leave is granted to eligible members to provide for circumstances of an urgent personal nature not otherwise comprehended in leave provisions. The approval of compassionate leave, does not however, automatically entitle a member to Compassionate Leave Travel.

A Commanding Officer may approve Compassionate Leave Travel under the circumstances detailed in PACMAN V2 VOL 1 CHAP 5 Pt7. Where possible ADFPC-C staff will attempt to ensure Compassionate Leave Travel is approved by a Commanding Officer prior to the travel being undertaken. However, for purposes of expediency and in recognition of the urgent nature of the circumstances, Compassionate Leave Travel may be approved as Compassionate Leave Travel to be defined.

Should on review by a Commanding Officer the circumstances generating the Compassionate Travel not be approved, then recovery of costs incurred by the Commonwealth will take place.

Outside of normal working hours. Personnel who become aware of circumstances outside of normal working hours which they believe may attract an approval of Compassionate Leave Travel, should contact the following:
