University of Tasmania LogoUTAS welcomes Australian Defence Force personnel to its programs in partnership with the Australian Defence Force Higher Education Advanced Standing Scheme.  Opportunities for ADF personnel to gain credit in several UTAS postgraduate programs have been identified and will be assessed individually upon application. 
Australia’s fourth oldest University, UTAS was established in 1890.  Today over 23,000 students from 70 different countries undertake their studies at UTAS campuses in Hobart, Launceston or Cradle Coast (Burnie) within Tasmania, Rozelle or Darlinghurst in Sydney, or by distance.
UTAS has six faculties - Arts, Business, Education, Health Science, Law and Science, Engineering and Technology - and the Australian Maritime College (AMC) offering programs in traditional and specialised disciplines.  UTAS has more than 170 postgraduate coursework programs, many of which are available online or by flexible delivery mode.
