About Open Universities Australia (OUA)
The Australian Defence Force and Open Universities Australia are in partnership to deliver higher education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications to all ADF members. Open Universities Australia (OUA) is the national leader in providing open and flexible access to tertiary education. Through OUA, you will have access to over 1000 units and 90 qualifications taught by 18 leading universities and higher education providers from around the country.
Our mission is to offer the opportunity to study anytime and anywhere without the traditional barriers to studying such as age or educational background. OUA caters to your lifestyle with the availability of four study periods throughout the year. To date, OUA has enrolled more than 120,000 students since 1993.
Together, Open Universities Australia and the Australia Defence Force will support the learning and development needs of the Australian Defence Force members. The shared mission is to support ADF members with ongoing strategic and capability development through education solutions that meet their unique educational goals.
