Eligibility - Postgraduate ADF Members

Proving Your Eligibility:

How can I determine my eligibility for advanced standing?

There are two Pathways:

Pathway 1 (Up to December 2005)

Pathway 2 (from January 2006)

  1. I have completed the current course or courses which would qualify for the Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate (if still available), or
  2. I have completed a mixture of old and new courses which equates to the requirements. For example, an Army officer may have completed the old Intermediate Staff Course and the new Grade 2 Course, rather than the old Intermediate Staff Course and the Intermediate Operations Course or the new Grade 3 Course and Grade 2 course.

To determine your eligibility for “advanced standing” please select the Advanced Standing menu item through your Service emblem.

Universities will not accept applications for advanced standing under this scheme from members who do not meet the defined eligibility requirements. Universities will require proof of eligibility.

Members with additional education, training and experience to that listed may be able to negotiate additional advanced standing directly with the university, subject to normal university processes and requirements.

How is my eligibility proved?

Proof of eligibility, as defined in the table, Eligibility of Advanced Standing, is provided by either:

a. possession of an ADF postgraduate qualification, or

b. a certificate of eligibility against the requirements.
