Defence, UNSW and Defence Force Recruiting Staff will be available on Open Day to provide information on living, studying and training at ADFA, as well as on the application process. Midshipmen and Officer Cadets will conduct personalised tours of ADFA and be available to answer your questions.
Academic staff from the University of New South Wales at ADFA will provide information on Bachelor degrees in Arts, Business, Science, Engineering and Technology. Information sessions for each degree program will be held in the morning and afternoon. For times and locations please see the Open Day program.
ADFA recognises the vital role that Parents and Guardians play in supporting their sons and daughters and helping them make important decisions. This session will assist you in finding the information you need to help your son or daughter make a decision about a career in the Australian Defence Force.
Defence Force Recruiting and UNSW at ADFA staff will present information on the application process and requirements for entry to ADFA. These information sessions will be held in the Military Theatre, marked on the program, during Open Day. Midshipmen and Officer Cadets will also be able to answer questions about their experiences at ADFA.
Pursuing a career as a pilot in the Australian Defence Force is one of the most challenging methods of entry. If you succeed, a pilot role could see you command the fastest and most exciting aircraft in the Australian skies. This session will explain the application and training program for pilots in the Navy, Army and Air Force.
Midshipmen and Officer Cadets will conduct personalised tours of the military buildings and training facilities, including the cadet accommodation, the Academy Cadet’s Mess and the Indoor Sports Centre. The tours will run every fifteen minutes between 9:30am and 4:00pm, departing from the end of the main concourse, outside the military building. The departure point is marked on the program.
Academic staff from the University of New South Wales at ADFA will conduct tours of the School of Aerospace, Civil and Mechanical Engineering between 9:30am and 3:00pm. Tours will leave from the entrance to the school, Building 17. The location is marked on the program.
Library staff will conduct a tour from the front of the Library at 11:00am. The departure point is marked on the program. The library will also be open to visitors during Open Day.
