AFG Welcomes Chief of Navy Malaysia

Australia’s Federation Guard welcomed the Chief of Navy Malaysia, Vice Admiral Datuk Abdul Aziz Bin Haji Jaafar, to Australia. The parade took place at Blamey Square in Canberra with the Chief of Navy Australia, Vice Admiral Crane hosting the parade.

The parade featured the entire Navy contingent of Australia’s Federation Guard including several new sailors who has just completed their initial sailor category training at HMAS Cerberus.

Seaman Carpenter who has only been posted to the Guard for a week said, “I’ve had the privilege of parading in front of the Chief Navy Australia before, but to welcome the Chief of Navy for Malaysia was a great experience.”

The Chief of Navy Malaysia complimented the Guard on their standard of drill and appearance before leaving the parade with the Chief of Navy Australia.
