The touch club allows Midshipmen and Officer Cadets (cadets) to increase their skills and have some fun in social or competitive competitions.
The touch club offers many opportunities to play against the civilian community in both the Deakin and Dickson Competitions. ADFA enters mixed and mens sides in these competitions in divisions ranging from beginners just out to have some fun, to the men's and women's competitive sides that train regularly and play in the hardest of competitions.
There are also avenues for the skilled touch player to represent ADFA in the Canberra super league and premier league teams. There are also opportunities to participate in the Defence Force Nationals competition, a competition with the best Defence touch players from all around Australia played at various locations in Australia. ADFA also participates in the Canberra Cup, an annual touch competition.
ADFA also holds a social competition at the start and end of each year. This competition allows divisions to get a team together to have some fun, relax and see how they compare to other divisions, with prizes awarded for the winning side.
