Midshipmen and Officer Cadets (cadets) live in comfortable, functional accommodation at ADFA. Each Division of up to 47 cadets is allocated a single accommodation building, or block. Within that block each cadet has a private room with a bed, storage and facilities for studying. Each corridor of four individual rooms contains a shared bathroom and laundry facilities. Cadets at ADFA live and train in tri-Service (combined Navy, Army and Air Force) Divisions.
In addition to individual accommodation, each block has a common recreation area with pay telephone, refrigerator, microwave oven, television, stereo and a computer terminal room. There are also a number of barbeque areas within the accommodation precinct which are regularly used for Divisional social activities.
One room in each accommodation block is allocated as an office for the Division Officer. The Division Officer and Division Staff regularly inspect accommodation blocks and individual rooms to ensure that a high standard of cleanliness and neatness is maintained.
