The ADFA Campus

On-campus facilities include:

Indoor Sports Centre

The Indoor Sports Centre is located adjacent to the Academy Cadets' Mess and is only a short walk from the accommodation blocks. The Centre facilities are available to cadets and Academy staff.

Sports Grounds

Within the grounds of the Academy are playing fields for cricket, football, netball, squash, tennis and other sports. You may also use the golf course at the Royal Military College (RMC) Duntroon.

Boatshed

The Academy Boatshed is located on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin, Yarralumla. The facility houses rowing sculls and shells, sailing and racing dinghies, canoes and a number of sailboards along with two Endeavour 24 yachts, which are moored permanently on the lake.

Library

The ADFA Library is open to all students at UNSW@ADFA and provides students with quality client-focused services to support their learning and resource requirements.

Academy House

In the area bound by the Library, the Information Technology Service Centre and the Computer Science Department is a building known as Academy House.

On the ground floor are the following establishments, which provide services to all Academy staff and cadets:

Banking

A branch of DEFCREDIT which offers a wide range of banking needs and a National Bank Multi-Card 24 hours ATM facility is available on campus. Additionally, the Australian Defence Credit Union, which has been servicing the Defence Community for over 50 years, also has a branch on campus which is open from 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday to meet your banking requirements.

Bookshop

The University Cooperative Bookshop is open from 0900-1700 hours and stocks all academic textbooks, general books and stationery. A wide range of computer software is also available. Membership of the Co-op permits attractive discounts on most purchases, excluding the range of magazines, cards and postage stamps.

Coffee Shop

The Coffee Lounge offers hot meals to eat-in or takeaway, snacks, hot and cold drinks and confectionery. A dry cleaning agency operates from the venue. The Coffee Lounge is an area where cadets may relax either inside or on the patio outside the building.
