Introduction


Hello and welcome to the Strategic Management Papers online.

New publications in the Strategic Management Series come from Army, Navy, Air Force and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. These papers are Defence Essays in which Course Members engage with the private sector and assess what their own organisations can learn from the corporate world. The 2011 papers assess and make recommendations on strategic planning for the Australian Defence Organisation, transformational change leadership in Air Lift Group, an alternative crewing strategy for the Navy, and developing senior leaders in the Philippines armed forces.

Views expressed in the Strategic Management Papers are solely those of the individual authors. They are not necessarily those of their governments and should not be considered as the official endorsement of factual accuracy, opinion, conclusion or recommendation of those governments or departments.
