ADC Publications

Welcome to the Australian Defence College publications website. ADC publications are produced on behalf of the Commander ADC, Principal Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies (CDSS) and Commandant Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC) to foster research on important national and international defence and security matters.

The ADC publications program is managed by the Education Services Centre (ESC).

They are not necessarily those of their governments and should not be considered as the official endorsement of factual accuracy, opinion, conclusion or recommendation of those governments or departments. They should be construed only as the author's own personal opinion.

Shedden Papers The Shedden Papers are a collection of selected research papers by course members and guest presenters at the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies. The Shedden Papers are published bi-annually.

Monograph Series The Monograph Series publishes selected works of course members from the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies and the Australian Command and Staff College.

ADF Journal The Australian Defence Force Journal (ADFJ) is published as the Journal of the Australian Profession of Arms. The journal aims to promote discussion and understanding on a range of defence related topics and issues. Contributions are sought from members of the Australian Defence Organisation.

Geddes Papers The Geddes Papers are a collection of selected research papers by course members of the Australian Command and Staff College. The Geddes Papers are published annually.

Executive Series ADDP 00.6 Leadership in the Australian Defence Force The ADDP 00.6 is pitched at the philosophical and high-application level, and ADFP at the application and procedural level.

Occasional Series The Occasional Series is intended to provide specialist consideration of contemporary subjects exercising the ADO and the wider community and to contribute to debate on those subjects.
