AIM
The Education Services Centre (ESC) provides
Commander Australian Defence College (COMADC), and through COMADC,
Principal, Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies; Commandant
Australian Command and Staff College; and Commandant Australian
Defence Force Academy with academically oriented advice and services
that contribute to the fulfilment of the ADC Charter: providing
skills, knowledge and fostering relationships. The ASC through its
involvement with contracts for educational services seeks to ensure
that programs are of the highest quality. The ESC has a strong commitment
to and plays a key role in facilitating enduring links among graduates.
ROLES
The Eduction Services Centre undertakes the following functions:
Provides assistance to ADC course members to reach their full academic
potential
Contributes to best practice in educational service delivery across
the ADC
Maintains a publishing program that showcases the work of ADC course members and strengthens the creation of a research
culture within the ADC
Develops and encourages close relationships among graduates through the Australian Defence Colleges Association, and the Alumni website
Builds strong relationships with regional partners through the Alumni
Creates and maintains a database of presenters for the Weston campus
Develops tailored research tools for ADC staff and course members
Liaises with CSIG (Library Services) to ensure that the ADC Library has book, journal and research holdings that are relevant and up to date.
