The Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies (CDSS) hosts the senior course in Australia for military officers and Government officials engaged in national security issues. The CDSS is responsible for providing Australian and overseas participants with the knowledge and skills required to operate at the strategic level in a complex and modern security environment.

The Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC) offers courses designed to prepare selected career officers for command and staff appointments, and to develop selected Australian Public Servants and professionals working in roles in single Service, joint and integrated environments.

The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) trains, educates and develops future leaders of the Australian Defence Force, providing military and leadership training on behalf of the Navy, Army and Air Force, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the University of New South Wales at ADFA.

The Australian Defence Force Warfare Centre (ADFWC) enhances joint and combined operational capability by augmenting force structure and preparedness through development of doctrine, exercise planning and evaluation, and delivery of individual and collective training.
Centre for Defence Leadership and Ethics
The Centre for Defence Leadership and Ethics (CDLE) provides the Commander Joint Education, Training and Warfare with corporate level command, leadership, management and military ethics development advice in order to help shape expertise in these areas in the College and across Defence in general.
